Privacy policy
You should be able to check a prayer time without handing over any personal information. This site is built that way.
This page explains in plain words what the site does and does not do with visitor data.
No accounts, no sign-in
There is no account system here, so there is nothing to sign up for.
No name, email address or phone number is collected when you view prayer times, suburb pages or the mosque directory.
The contact form
The form on the contact page asks for a message and an email address so we can follow up. A name is optional.
A simple on-page code check keeps automated spam out. After that, the form opens your own email app with the message ready to send. This site does not store anything you type on a server.
Device sensors and saved settings
The live Qibla compass asks your browser for permission to read your device's orientation sensor. That reading only turns the compass needle on your own screen. It is never sent to or stored on a server.
This site does not ask for your location. Every page uses its own suburb's coordinates instead.
If you choose Hanafi or Shafi'i Asr, that choice is saved in your browser on your own device so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Cookies and analytics
The site does not currently run analytics, advertising trackers or cross-site tracking cookies. Nothing here builds a profile of you.
If we add basic visit counts in future, this page will be updated first. Any counts would be aggregate figures that do not identify you by name.
Third-party services
Prayer times are calculated by this site itself. Your browser does not call a prayer-time service to load a page.
The site does fetch weather and Hijri date information from outside providers. Those requests are made by the site using a suburb's coordinates, never yours.
Two things do involve Google. Your browser loads the Arabic font from Google Fonts, so Google can see your IP address as it would on any site using that service. The "Get Directions" button on a mosque page also opens Google Maps, which is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
If the way this site handles data changes, this page will be updated to match. Questions about this policy are welcome through the contact page.
